Full of pie!

I hope you all had a wonderful family filled Thanksgiving! It was so nice to just get a break from school and worries and spend some quality time out on the farm. The best thing about it? Well, there were numerous things, but most importantly, the time I was able to just spend with family, relaxing and playing and eating pie!
I love thanksgiving because its a holiday where you give thanks for your blessings! I've been blessed with so much. To name a few things, I'm grateful for:
My heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ
My wonderful parents
My crazy siblings
The farm
The holidays
Chocolate
My education and the opportunity I have to get one
French Toast
BYU
Friends
Good roommates
my calling
Flowers
Scrambled eggs and cheese
Decorating
Sleep
The scriptures
journal writing
Cruncy leaves
the smell of christmas trees
lotion
New friends who accept you for who you are
and Old friends who will always be there for you
These are just a few things i'm grateful for. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! now...

It's almost time for PIE!!

Harvest Pie

Are you getting excited for pie!?!

Thanksgiving is only a week away!  Can i just tell you how much this fact makes me happy?!?! I'm SO ready for a break.  School is going well, but I definitely could use a few days off! (or to just catch up at least!)

Well, here's an update on my life:

I've got a job!!! Yup, I'm officially a travel secretary for OIT (office of Information Technology).  I book flights/conferences/hotels/rental cars for the executives and engineers for all of their conferences.  Its pretty cool.  These guys are in charge of all the computery stuff for BYU and also some of the church as well.  So ya, my job is pretty cool!  i've even got a desk and everything! It makes me very happy!  I feel like i've got a legit job, and I love it! (so far at least.  I mean, i've only been working there for 4 days, but so far so good!)

I only have one essay left for the entire semester! YAY!!!!  for reals, i'm so done.  its for my Writing 150 class, which PS: I absolutely hate!  My professor is so boring, and makes english seem sooooooooo boring.  If it werent for good english teachers in the past, I would seriously consider changing my major.  Plus the fact that it is at 8 in the morning doesn't help a whole lot.  8 O'clock is just a tad bit too early for this girl.

I did my laundry!  I actually really like doing laundry i've discovered.  I love having clean fresh clothing to wear!  I just have been postponing doing it because i've been so busy lately, but last night I finally did it while studying for SFL 210.  Unfortunately, I left all my clean clothes in my hamper, so thats waiting for me to fold and put away when I get home, but its all good.  Doing laundry actually acts as a destressor for me, so I really don't mind at all.

I watched the show Parenthood.  I really like this show alot.  It's got Lauren Graham (aka Lorelai Gilmore) and a bunch of other people in it, and I don't know why, but i just really enjoy it.  Its all about these 4 siblings who all have children and how they deal with being a parent and such.  I enjoy it at least.

Alrighty, well i'm going to go and do some more productive things!  I have thursdays off from work for the rest of the semester, so it's nice to have the afternoon off (somewhat. I do have a class at 1 and at 4...)

coloring...

Alrighty well i'm feeling pretty great about myself at this moment.  I basically just busted out a Great Works paper in about an hour.  For me, that's pretty good.  It usually takes me all afternoon to write a paper, and granted, this paper is shorter than most of those other papers, but still, i'm feeling pretty great! I can check that off my list of things to do which is just such a good feeling.  I feel like all of my professors collaborated together and decided to have all of our major assignments and tests and such at the same time! Its killing me!  But I've sort of scheduled out my time and i think i'll be just fine, i just can't let myself get distracted with things like...blogging haha

So last weekend was pretty fun! I went on a date with Tim on friday night, which actually went better than i thought it would.  It was my first real blind date, and I've heard the horror stories of blind dates, so i was a bit nervous, but it was a fun night!

And then on Saturday, we had the "adult session" of stake conference.  Can i just say that I've never been pounded more in the face about getting married then i did for those 2 hours?!  Geez, i'm only 18 for goodness sakes! It was good advice and such, but all things in moderation people!  Literally every speaker talked about marraige and dating and it got to be too much. It was good, just a bit much.

So after that meeting, me and my roomies went home and we just decided to have a low key evening and color pictures and listen to music.  It was great actually!

Yay for resorting back to our childhood and coloring! haha it actually was pretty fun believe it or not.

well my battery is about to die, so I guess thats all the update your gonna get! sucka! haha

Fall FHE at the Farm :)

Such a great fall activity

This was seriously so much fun! All my roommates and FHE brothers came out to the house friday night. It was so funny to hear them talk about how much they loved the house and farm, and I couldn't help but agree with everythng they were saying. A bunch of them talked about how this was their "dream house". It really is my dream house, We've been so blessed and lucky to grow up in west mountain :)
This is me and a boy named Matt. We were paired up in the "pumpkin carving contest." We carved a cougar (originally it was a werewolf howling at the moon but we made the necessary adjustments haha) and i think it turned out pretty swell. I love carving pumpkins!

This is the whole gang. They are pretty great! It was such a fun time bringing the college friends home :)

Love you all

And so another week begins...

Well, its sunday night. I love the weekends can I just tell you!? But today was a great sunday! I went to two farewells, Dallin Gividens and Stuart Spencer's. They were just so awesome! Its crazy seeing these kids i've grown up with leave and go on missions! I'm not going to lie sometimes i wish i could go on a mission right now too!

Ward prayer is so awesome. It is like a huge production in my ward, and it is so fun! We have date-minute, and a skit, and funny room introductions, and mostly just hanging out with everyone. I really enjoy that alot. And the bishopbric is aweseome.

I am so excited for this week! Okay, well i only have one midterm, and i'm going to ace it just you wait! (well, hopefully!) The homework load isn't terrible this week, but don't worry i'll stay busy studying and such, but playing lots too!
On friday night, my roommates and our 6 FHE brothers are coming out to the farm and we are going to go on a hayride and carve pumpkins and eat caramel popcorn and just have a good halloween festive sort of a night. I can't wait!

and then saturday, the day of the murder mystery!!!!!! YAY!!! Jaime, if you have any ideas of how to dress up as a fashionable Witch from hufflepuff who is a fashionista, let me know! I cannot wait for saturday!

Then next sunday, 3 more farewells. These boys are just dropping like flies! But it's honestly so great. I love it!

Well, its super late, and i need to get my beauty sleep for tomorrow! Ugh, 8 oclock class is a drag!

LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

ramblings...

Here i am sitting in the deepest darkest corner of the library, waiting for my next class to start. Why not study you ask? well...I've got all my homework done and I frankly don't fee like studying for the sake of studying. I've been trying to get things done so that I can enjoy General Conference weekend with the Fam with minimial stressors. SO far so good! that is until tomorrow when my 4 professors give me another mountain of homework but i'd rather not think about that...
I'd rather think about happy things!!! for instance...
The water from the drinking fountain on the first floor of my apartment is amazing!! seriously, i don't know whats wrong with the water from the tap in my apartment but its always warm and it tastes like rocks. Seriously, there are so many minerals and metal flavored things in it. I miss my west mountain water, but the drinking fountain downstairs is an acceptable substitute in the meantime. Its cold and rreeeeffreshing!!
My roommate made no-bakes last night. DOn't worry, my apartment isn't "that" apartment that always is making cookies and is going to get fat (we've already pegged that room, its 1103 haha :D ) But really, I have decided that they are my new favorite cookie.
I LOVE the weather right now. BYU campus is so pretty. The flowers all look so great, and there is a crispness in the air right now, and the mountains are changing colors and its just lovely. I do wish i could spend more time outside rather than cooped up in the library, but i honestly can't get anything done outside because I get distracted way tooo easily.
Vampire Diaries. I. LOVE. IT. ITs the only TV i've watched in a month and its all i need! haha
*random side note: My FHE brother is sitting across from me at those little desk thinkins in the library. Its weird!! haha I NEVER see people in the library i know!
I get to go home for the weekend and watch general conference!! I've never looked forward to a general conference more! I love the idea of sleeping in (or at least past 7:30am) and just having a relaxing weekend complete with the traditional cinnamon rolls. hmm...maybe i'll decorate for fall while i'm down there!
*sad note: The pumpkins were a huge failure this year on the farm. I'm very very sad about this...its funny actually because the only pumpkins that are thriving are the ones that reseeded from last years awesome crop. Thus, we have two randomly placed pumpkin plants, one on the lane by the fence, and the other in the front flower bed. Gotta love it!
My ward makes me happy. I got blessed with the most awesome bishopbric. The Bishop's name is Bishop Sybrowski, and he is just awesome! He reminds me alot of Bisop Rasmussen, only he's 20 years younger. THe people in my ward are super fun too.
Well, i'm going to go to class now..Its english 195 and its pretty swell. Only 1 credit, and its a lecture course all about how awesome english majors are. THe only thing its taught me so far is that I am SO glad i'm going to be an english teacher because i like knowing that there is hopefully a job waiting for me once i get a degree....
Well, sorry this was about nothing in particular...
